Gathering at the meeting point

At 08:30, we will start gathering in front of the Tbilisi City Assembly. Our tour guide will be there to welcome you, holding our branded flag and wearing a T-shirt with ‘Kvareli Wine Cave’ written on it. Please show her your registration confirmation email either on your phone or as a printed version, and proceed with payment. Payments should be made in GEL only.

Beginning the tour and traveling to the Kvareli Wine Cave

Exploring Kvareli Wine Cave and tasting wine

At the Kvareli Wine Cave, we will be greeted by a local folk ensemble with a traditional live song performance. Our local guide will then take us through the 7.7 km tunnel where the wine bottles are aging. The guide will explain how wine was invented in Georgia and describe all aspects of Georgian winemaking traditions. We will then taste four premium wines accompanied by a delicious snack platter. The wine tasting will include traditional Georgian toasts. The folk ensemble will continue to perform for us during the tasting

Participating in culinary and craft masterclasses

After the wine tasting, we will participate in culinary and craft masterclasses. We will bake traditional bread in a clay oven, make Churchkhela and Gozinaki, and learn about the process of creating Georgian traditional clay wine vessels called Qvevri. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to make our own souvenir Qvevri.

Lunch in the Garden

After the engaging activities, we will enjoy a local authentic lunch with wonderful flavors. Some of the dishes will be prepared right before you, as is traditional in Georgian culture. Please refer to the menu

Travel to city Sighnaghi

After visiting Kvareli Wine Cave, we’ll travel to Sighnagi, which is just an hour away by road. Sighnagi is known as the “City of Love” and features historical buildings, ancient walls, and towers. We’ll enjoy a one-hour walking tour, taking in the charming architecture and stunning views of the Alazani Valley.

Visit Bodbe’s St. Nino’s Convent

We’ll continue our trip to Bodbe’s St. Nino’s Convent to learn about Georgian religious beliefs and life. We’ll visit the holy grave of St. Nino, who spread Christianity in Georgia. The convent also features beautiful gardens, perfect for taking pictures.

Traveling to Tbilisi

It takes about 2 hours to drive from the last location to Tbilisi. The bus will stop at the meeting point once again.
